Ephesians 3:20

What does 3:20PM look like in your day? Maybe you're picking up your kids from school in that never-ending car pickup line. Some of you are probably looking for that afternoon caffeine pick-me-up to get you through the last couple of hours at the office. Whether you're folding laundry, driving to soccer practice, or taking a nap, 3:20PM comes and goes without notice each day for all of us. Maybe that can change.

Just as God chose and prepared Joshua to lead the Israelites after Moses, God has chosen and is preparing the next Lead Pastor for Real Life Church. That being said, searching for and finding this person is a huge task for our church - the proverbial needle in a haystack. The search comes with its own set of potential challenges and obstacles that can be quite daunting. BUT that's where God steps in. We are not on our own in this process. We are accompanied by and led by our big God who is more than able.

The pastor search team has chosen Ephesians 3:20-21 as the theme verses for the search for our next lead pastor.

"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."

These two verses challenge us to ask big, think big, and believe big that God will do more than we can imagine in leading us to our next Lead Pastor by the power of His Holy Spirit. He is the God who "is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think."

The pastor search team would like to encourage everyone to embrace these verses and pray them daily. We want to see our church unite in prayer during this season. That's where 3:20PM comes in.

We're challenging everyone to set a daily alarm or reminder on your phone for 3:20PM to remind us of Ephesians 3:20-21. When that alarm sounds each afternoon, take a moment to pray for our church, the search for our next lead pastor, and for our next lead pastor. We will all be praying in unity for God to do more than we can ask or think. Just imagine it. Every day at 3:20PM all over our city - in homes, offices, car pickup lines, and coffee shops - the people of Real Life Church will be joining as a congregation to believe God for big things and echo the words of the Apostle Paul in verse 21, "to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."
